There was something sneaky going on at The Historic Hemet Theatre on June 21st. Troupe of Lost Souls Entertainment presented it’s first installment of the interactive murder mystery “WhoDunIt”. The interactive theatre experience featured detectives “Mara Sweets” played by Heather Fix and “Just Harrington” played by Rick L. Baker inviting “recruits” to solve a murder from their files without the luxury of modern science aids like DNA and fingerprints. “Just good old fashioned detective work!” as Sweets explained. Participants are given crime scene photos, case files and notebooks to take notes during their investigation. They are also able to question the five suspects in the case first as a group and then individually for a total of twenty minutes. The recruits must then identify the correct suspect, the location of the murder and the weapon used in the murder to win. The recruits were assisted afterward by Sweets and Harrington in reviewing the case files and photos revealing the correct identity of the murderer, the location and weapon used in “The Aaron Quinn Murder” case.
There are two more cases to solve “The case of Old Widow Hampton” on Thursday July 5, 2018 and “The Kim Carlisle Affair” on August 16, 2018 at The Historic Hemet Theatre. Tickets are $35.00 for couples and $20.00 for individuals.
